Last November, something as simple as a Google ad brought me into contact with a customer who would soon become one of my most memorable clients of the year.

He is a Pakistani living in the United Arab Emirates, and he had never worked with us before. In fact, it was his very first time buying used construction machinery from China. That means he had all the usual worries — could he trust the us? Would the crane be exactly as described? Would it arrive in good condition?

These are valid concerns. At Hongying Used Machinery, we’ve learned that trust doesn’t come from slick websites or polished brochures — it comes from showing up, telling the truth, and doing the work.

So, when this customer reached out about a 50-ton truck crane, I knew we needed to do more than just send photos and prices. We needed to prove our value.

Finding the Right Machine

We had several preowned truck cranes in stock, but one particular unit stood out: a XCMG QY50KA, manufactured in December 2013, registered in February 2014, located in Neihuang County, Henan Province, only 2.5 hours from our Zhengzhou headquarter.

It was exactly what he wanted — a 5-section boom with a 43.5-meter reach, pilot control, China National III emissions standard, and, most importantly, no signs of welding, reinforcement, or accident repair. The paint had been redone, yes — but only to improve the look. The structure was untouched.

I didn’t try to oversell it. I just laid out the facts, sent him clear photos and video, and answered all his questions — no pressure. But the real turning point came when he said: “Can I see it with my own eyes?”

A Visit to Neihuang County

Absolutely. I arranged everything. On May 28th, the customer landed in China. My colleague Wendy Xue and I met up with him and took him all the way to Neihuang County, where the crane was still parked with its original owner.

The weather was hot, and the experience was warm. On site, we walked through the machine inch by inch. The client checked the boom extension, the tires, the chassis, even listened to the engine start up. He asked about maintenance records, previous use, and technical details. I translated and explained everything as clearly as I could.

There was no rush. No pressure. We let him take his time. At one point, he looked at me and said: “You came with me. That says a lot.” That’s when I knew we were getting somewhere.

The Decision

He didn’t say yes right away. That’s not how serious buyers work. He flew home, talked to his team, and did more comparisons. But then, on June 12th, the message came: “We’re going ahead. Prepare the shipment.” That one line made all the effort worth it.

We moved fast. The crane was transported from Henan to our yard, where we did a final inspection and prepared it for shipping. Our export team handled the paperwork — Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, and inspection certificates.

I kept in contact with the client every step of the way — WhatsApp updates, shipping photos, customs tips. Not just because it’s our job — but because I knew how important it was for him to feel taken care of.

Why It Worked

After the dust settled, I asked him what made him choose us. He said: “You didn’t just talk — you came with me. You showed me everything. You gave straight answers. That made all the difference.”

And that, to me, is the heart of good business. It’s not about flashy ads or rock-bottom prices. It’s about showing up, standing next to the customer, and proving you’re real.

Final Thoughts

Today, that XCMG QY50KA is hard at work on a project in the UAE. And we’ve got one more customer who’s already asking about future purchases — this time, maybe a 70-ton crane.

For me, that’s the best result I could hope for. Not just one sale, but the start of a relationship. If you’re reading this and looking for a reliable second-hand crane, excavator, or loader from China, don’t hesitate to reach out.

We don’t just sell machines. We back them up, stand by them, and — when needed — we’ll even ride with you to see them in person.
